EMMA LOVE

began writing her first book in the fifth grade, one that spanned a whopping twenty pages, and hasn't stopped writing since then. Born and raised in Oklahoma City, she wrote her debut novel at seventeen and published it at nineteen before she moved away from Oklahoma to Scotland. Now, she has found herself across the pond attending the University of St. Andrews to study English.

She self-published her debut novel, The Chronicles: Dark Horizons, which was nominated for the 2020 Oklahoma Book of the Year.

Outside of writing The Chronicles series, Emma enjoys spending time with her cat Sushi, shredding on a dirtbike, and pumping iron in the gym.

"Love is a precocious writer, imaginative and descriptive; I would not have guessed she was a college student. The book alternates between diary entries, dialogue and intense periods of action; the characters' anxiety is so contagious I occasionally had to set it aside before going back to it. The novel ends with Storm in a very dark spot. It'll be interesting to read the sequel when it comes out, both to see what happens next and to observe Love's evolution as a writer." - Ken Raymond, The Oklahoman
